Morganville Vampires Glass house

Glass house is the first book of the series. Now I have to say when I first started reading it, I was a bit bored; it started off very slow, Claire was too wimpy and whiny for my taste, even thought she was Einstein intelligent and was the smallest in size and age she just didn’t seem like a heroine. Monica seemed like a bitch from hell and in need of a good beating, I mean seriously she seemed a bit overdramatic, she tried to KILL Claire just because Claire made her look stupid unintentionally. It seemed a bit unrealistic to be honest. I actually just stopped reading it and did …….. Maths revision -.-  and if you know me, you’d know I hate maths with a passion!!! Then after a while I picked up from where I left from even though it was very painful I carried on and it finally started getting good especially when roommates Punk Rock Eve, Hotty Shane and Soulful Michael were introduced in the book and the Glass House. As the book goes on she discovers more about the strange town as does the reader, she learns about vampires, protection, rules, who are in charge, a long-lost secret book. She receives a visit from her parents which I never thought would happen and faces a huge attack. It ends with a MASSIVE CLIFFHANGER which is leaving you wanting to read the next book in the series. This book is jam-packed with action! I loved the new take on a ghost which was Michael being like a real person at night but then just disappear into thin air, literally!  I loved the twist about Oliver, and Amelie was just a strange character for me. But I loved the bickering between Shane and Eve, and they're comments about things are just plain hilarious. I’m not going tell you more and give away the full story in case your one of the newbies and have never read this series! My advice-if you were bored like me with it at the start hang in there and keep reading, it will get better!
